“Through Wellspring, I began a wonderful journey of returning back home to the Father's heart. During this process, I found out that home was one of my deepest desires, but one that got scarred early on in my life. I moved to the United States from the country of Bolivia when I was young girl. And this displacement and distance from my extended family and culture that I deeply loved, somehow affected other areas of my life. And it became very difficult to connect as an immigrant, difficult to trust, difficult to let go. And it left me in a posture of feeling abandoned, orphaned, and ultimately, homeless. As much as I love the Lord questions came up in my heart, where am I from? Where do I belong? How do I fit in, in the big picture of my life. But the final retreat for Wellspring was one that I'll never forget. The Holy Spirit whispered to my heart saying, You're not an outsider. You have a place in the heart of God. My group leader led me through a powerful and intimate encounter with the Trinity. And this journey began a process where my layers of deception have fallen away, healing my heart and bringing me into the fullness of the experience of what it means to come home.”
